Junior Musical Theatre is for young people aged between school year 1 and 4. Members of JMT usually progress into our Lower-Inter Theatre class, and many move into the Junior group from the Beginners class. We spend a lot of time focussing on the core skills of acting, singing and dancing. JMT members, perform a Christmas concert and present their own musical theatre performance in the summer term. Juniors present studio productions at the Rose Theatre and from time-to-time, will participate in other Studios shows. Ultimately, like a lot of our long-term members, we hope they will join Senior Musical Theatre at Chesterfield Studios, which is one of the leading youth theatres in the area, with an enviable reputation for producing high quality productions.
