Break dancing with Chris Jago Brayford
Chris 'Jago' Brayford is a dancer, performer, choreographer, and teacher based in Sheffield.
His training is rooted in Breakin and Contemporary dance, resulting in a style that is a fusion of flying low and release techniques with light influences from contortion and animal locomotion.
In 2018, Chris graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a BA Honours Degree in Performing Arts Dance and then went on to receive professional training from Alleyne Dance as part of their internship programme.
Since completing this training, Chris has focused fully on passing on Breakin and Hip Hop culture in Sheffield and the surrounding areas. Starting by performing in Hip Hop theatre pieces such as "Trust in Care" by Rationale Arts and "Cruel Creatures" choreographed by himself and then later by teaching.
For six years Chris has taught Breakin and Contemporary dance, working with companies such as Hype Dance Academy, South Yorkshire Youth Dance, Sheffield City Breakers and Rationale Arts. He works to introduce people to dance, its culture, and develop their dance technique and creative expression.

CLASS INFO
I loved my time at Chesterfield Studios. It was like having a second family. I was given so many opportunities to perform including playing Tony in West Side Story. I am now in my second year at the Urdang Academy training on the BA (Hons) Professional Dance and Musical Theatre Course. I simply wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for Chesterfield Studios.
